ABOUT THE PRODUCER

Name: Agri Evolve

Agri Evolve was established in 2016 with a simple yet ambitious goal: to serve as a reliable collection point for both Dried Ugandan Arabica (DRUGAR) and ripe coffee cherries in the Rwenzori Mountains. Traditionally, farmers in this region processed their coffee themselves, often drying cherries on tarpaulins under the sun. While sourcing DRUGAR was initially easier due to these established practices, changing old habits and encouraging the sale of ripe cherries proved to be a challenge.

However, with significant investment in processing equipment, the creation of demonstration farms, and the hiring of experienced staff, Agri Evolve made remarkable strides in its second year. The quality and quantity of sourced ripe cherries improved drastically, setting the stage for a more refined coffee processing operation.

Today, Agri Evolve boasts modern processing facilities equipped with washer separators, mechanical dryers, hulling machines, and greenhouses. These advancements have greatly enhanced the quality of the coffee produced and solidified Agri Evolve’s reputation among local farmers.

Agri Evolve has become a trusted partner in the farming community, known for paying fair prices consistently and on time—a seemingly simple practice that has made a world of difference for the farmers. Through these efforts, Agri Evolve continues to transform coffee production in the Rwenzori Mountains, fostering growth and sustainability for the future.
